Congress will give big responsibility to Phool Singh Baraiya in 16 by-elections Featured

  22 June 2020

Bhopal Bureau. The Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party are busy in finalizing their preparations for the elections for the 24 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh. However, in the meantime both the parties are also setting their own pawns.

While the Bharatiya Janata Party has announced to make separate manifesto for 24 seats, the Congress has already found its break and in the party by election, the BJP's manifesto will also be presented to the public in the 2018 assembly elections. Was released. Not only this, Congress has decided that it will make its manifesto by taking public opinion.

According to party sources, the opinion of the people of every assembly constituency will be taken to make the manifesto. Party workers will consult people in their respective assemblies.

On the other hand, the party will present Phool Singh Baraiya, a candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections, as the face of the party in those seats of the by-elections which are dominated by Scheduled Caste voters. It is worth noting that out of 24 seats in the by-elections, there are about 15 seats on which Scheduled Caste voters are in a decisive role. If the Congress is successful in making the Muslim-Jatav combination like in the previous elections on these seats, then it is considered to be a big gain in the elections.

here are more than two and a quarter lakh Jatav voters in five seats of Morena district in the seats where the by-elections are to be held, while in Bhind, about one lakh in two seats, more than one and a half lakh in three seats of Gwalior, about one lakh in two seats in Datia. , About 45 thousand votes are reported on Pohri seat of Shivpuri, about 75 thousand on two seats of Ashok Nagar and about 30 thousand votes on Bamori seat of Guna. At the same time, the number of Muslim voters in these seats ranges from 3 to 5 percent.

The important reason is that the voting percentage of Jatav and Muslim community is always more than 80 percent. In such a situation, if the Congress is going on assuming that if it somehow manages to make a combination of Jatav voters with other castes, then a bulk vote will come in its bag and it will not have to take much power to win.

Party sources said that Phool Singh Baraiya has good influence in at least ten to twelve seats. Nearly two decades ago Phool Singh Baraiya had networking in these areas for Bahujan Samaj Party. Therefore, they have a good hold over the scheduled castes.

Sources said that the party is booth-wise estimating the votes polled in the 2018 assembly elections and a team of the party is scrutinizing the booth data so that there is no lapse in strategy.

Sources said that out of 24 seats in the by-elections, 16 seats in Gwalior-Chambal area are the first priority of the Sadhana Party. Sources said that in all the 16 seats under BJP Jyotiraditya Scindia's influence in the by-election, Congress leaders will be seen sweating more and more. These 16 seats are said to have more than one million scheduled castes.

It is to be seen whether the Congress can use Phool Singh Baraiya as a trump card in the by-elections. However, the party has already expressed its intentions by bringing another BSP leader Pragilal Jatav of Scheduled Caste and Balendu Shukla, who is already close to the Scindia family, into the Congress to make a dent in Brahmin voters and now including Deepak Joshi, son of former Chief Minister Former CMs Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh are brainstorming to bring some other Brahmin faces to Congress.
