For those uninitiated, a mob of around 200 villagers mocking all lockdown standards lynched three people, including two Hindu sadhus and a driver, in Palghar, Maharashtra on April 17. Reportedly, the three men were travelling from Nashik to Surat. However, on Thursday night they were lynched by the mob on the suspicion of being thieves.
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government has handed the over the Palghar case to the Criminal Investigation Department.
