The Congress is going to set up its election office in Gwalior to hold the Bharatiya Janata Party in the stronghold of Scindia in the by-election. The entire by-election will be conducted from here and the state Congress President Kamal Nath himself will remain in Gwalior till the by-election.
Not only this, a special strategy is being chalked out to defeat BJP in 16 seats of Gwalior-Chambal area. At the same time, according to party sources, the Congress is considering to build not one but two headquarters for the 24 seats of the by-election. One of them will be headquartered in Gwalior and the other in Indore.
According to sources, Congress's strongman will be present in every assembly of 16 seats in the stronghold of Scindia. The party has already entrusted the responsibility of legislatures to Congress leaders who were ministers in the Kamal Nath government. At the same time, Congress leaders in every assembly should hold press conferences daily, Shivraj will put forth the failures of the 15-year tenure of the government.
Asked how the Congress will handle the two headquarters in the by-elections. In response to this, sources said that Kamal Nath will take over responsibility in Gwalior, while Digvijay Singh will camp in Indore.
At present, the party is assuming that in order to defeat the BJP in the by-elections, a rigorous chakravyuh is prepared on 16 seats in Gwalior-Chambal area and the BJP's defeat is decided from here.It is worth noting that on Tuesday, Congress leader Kamal Nath addressed the conference of Congress workers in Ujjain at Badnawar to see the Mahakal Darshan, while campaigning for the by-election. Only yesterday, Kamal Nath had expressed his intention to not take the Congress lightly in the BJP by-election.
