Their condition was described as "mild" at the time.
No further update on the family's condition has been released, but Amitabh tweeted on Friday, "In happy times, in times of illness, you our near and dear, our well wishers, our fans have ever given us unstinting love."
Prior to Aishwarya and Aaradhya's hospitalization, Abhishek also tweeted, "My father and I remain in hospital till the doctors decide otherwise. Everyone please remain cautious and safe. Fans held prayers and vigils for the family's recovery following the news, which has shocked the country.
Until now, Aishwarya and Aaradhya had been isolating at home. It was reported last week that India recorded a record 35,000 new cases of coronavirus cases in 24 hours, surpassing the one million mark.
