Spokesman for Haftar’s forces Ahmed Al-Mesmari: Al-Sarraj Government’s initiative “laughed at the beards” … and they are preparing to attack Sirte and Jufrah Featured

  24 अगस्त 2020

Ahmed Al-Mesmari, a spokesman for Haftar’s forces, said in a press conference, that the initiative of the Government of National Accord is

“an initiative for media marketing and for laughing at the chins and throwing ashes in the eyes … and the truth on the ground from the reconnaissance operations confirms the enemy’s real intentions to attack our forces in the Sirte region and Al-Jafra region.”

Eastern Libyan forces (the Libyan National Army) led by General Khalifa Haftar considered, on Sunday, that the ceasefire initiative announced by the Government of National Accord led by Fayez al-Sarraj is for “media marketing”, accusing the Government of National Accord of being prepared To launch a military operation in Sirte and Jufrah.

Al-Mesmari added, “Terrorism is expanding in Libya through another mechanism, which is the mechanism of the international community, sponsored by Qatar and Turkey, and behind these countries is what it left behind from other capitals and other countries,” as he put it. He continued by saying: “It is our right to defend our land, and our duty is a sacred duty for every soldier and every Libyan, free and honest patriot.”

Al-Mesmari warned that “any hostile action will be faced with striking force,” and said that “our armed forces are in a combat position and are ready to deal with the enemy if they think to continue advancing towards the city of Sirte.” He added, “Tonight or tomorrow, I think that there will be some action.” He added, “Whoever thinks about approaching our lines will find himself in another place, whether it is a state, organization, or militia.”
