The Supreme Court on Monday declined to entertain a plea by the Uttar Pradesh government to transfer all petitions against the anti-conversion ordinance pending in the Allahabad High Court to itself.

The party’s attack on the government came a day after petrol and diesel prices in the country touched new all-time highs after rates were increased for the fourth time in the week.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar is expected to attend tomorrow’s rally. The state Congress unit, which is also a member of the ruling alliance, has also extended its support
