Thought he govt seems to have softened its stand and has assured the farmers of amendments in the farm laws, the farmers are adamant on their demand to scrap all the three farm laws.

Unhappy with Union government's adamant attitude towards their demands, the farmers’ unions that have been protesting on Delhi’s borders for the last six days on Friday gave a call for ‘Bharat Bandh’ on December 8.

The decision was taken by representative of farmers’ unions agitating against the three farm laws implemented by the Union Government, under the banner of Sanyukat Kisan Morcha, in a meeting held at Singhu border today.

The unsatisfied farmers have also decided to burn effigies of the Modi government and heads of corporate houses across the country on Saturday.

Though the Union government seems to have softened its stand and assured the farmers of amendments in the farm laws, the farmers are adamant on their demand to scrap all the three farm laws. They also have been demanding that the MSP on crops must be given constitutional guarantee.
