The armed forces of India and China have been engaged in a tense border standoff in eastern Ladakh since May 5, 2020, when there was a violent clash between the two sides in the Pangong lake areas.

'It is unfortunate that vote bank politics is being practiced in international relations,' India responded while expressing 'concern' over 'racially and ethnically motivated attacks, hate crimes and gun violence' in the US. 

'The status of Modi makes me hopeful that because of his strong voice, Putin at least thinks over. We are expecting a much more favourable attitude of the Indian government,' said Ukrainian envoy to India Igor Polikha.

The two Asian giants released a joint press release stating that there had been a “frank and in-depth exchange of views for the resolution of the relevant views along the LAC in the Western Sector”.
