  14 July 2020

Jaipur Bureau: Suspense is still intact in Rajasthan following a dispute between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot.

In the meeting of the legislature party convened today, 102 Congress MLAs were present.Taking big action, the party has removed Sachin Pilot and his supporting ministers Vishvendra Singh and Ramesh Meena with immediate effect. Sachin Pilot has been removed as Deputy Chief Minister and State Congress President. He has been appointed as the new State Congress President. Not only this, Sachin Pilot has been removed from the post of the President of the pro-state Youth Congress and the State Congress Seva Dal.

Earlier today, Sachin Pilot was also absent in the legislature party meeting. At the same time, if sources are to be believed, the demand for disciplinary action against Sachin Pilot also arose in the meeting of the Legislature Party.

Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala told the media that the Congress leadership spoke to Sachin Pilot several times. Not only this, many Congress leaders including party general secretary KC Venugopal, state Congress in-charge Avinash Pandey also spoke more than a dozen times.

Surjewala said that in the evening if he comes home in the morning, he is not forgotten. So everyone wanted Sachin Pilot to be given another chance and discussed with him.

Randeep Surjewala said that Sachin Pilot got confused and got caught in the BJP trap and started to topple the Congress government. For the last 72 hours, the Congress high command tried to contact Sachin Pilot and other leaders. Congress continuously tried to convince Sachin Pilot, but he consistently denied everything.

The resolution has been passed in the meeting of the legislature party to take action against Sachin Pilot and the MLAs accompanying him. The legislators have passed a resolution raising their hands, this proposal is being sent to the Disciplinary Committee. After that, notice will be issued to all the MLAs.

While sources believed, the party high command had sent a message to the pilot that his two demands could be accepted but Gehlot would continue to be the chief minister. Let me tell you that before the news came, Pilot had made two demands in conversation with the Congress leaders, in which first he said that he should keep the Finance and Home Department and give the ministerial post to his four supporting MLAs.

Earlier yesterday, after a day of political upheaval, it was decided to call the meeting of the legislature party again today. Before the Legislature Party meeting, Avinash Pandey, in-charge of Rajasthan Congress said, "We are giving Sachin Pilot a second chance, asked him to participate in today's CLP meeting. Hopefully all the MLAs will come and give solidarity to the leadership." We all want to work for the development of the state. "
