Congress-JDS rebels suffocate in BJP, preparing to return home Featured

  05 June 2020

Bengaluru The rebel MLAs who had demolished the JDS-Congress government of the state prematurely in Karnataka and joined the BJP, now most of them do not like BJP, so they are now looking for a way back home. .

If sources are to be believed, most of the rebels of the Congress have agreed to return home after DK Shivakumar was given the command of Congress in Karnataka. Sources said that DK Shivakumar has started a fresh effort to return home to the leaders who left the Congress after becoming the state Congress president and the rebel MLAs of the Congress who had caused the collapse of the JDS-Congress government in Karnataka are now DK has come in contact with Shivakumar.

Sources said that the Congress left the Congress and joined the BJP and Congress rebels, who contested on the BJP ticket in the by-election, were not getting the BJP's favor.
Although some MLAs have also got ministerial post, they believe that they have no value inside BJP. If sources are to be believed, last Thursday, about a dozen MLAs had gathered at his residence to demand the sending of eight-time MLA Umesh Katti to Rajya Sabha. After this,
all these MLAs came in contact with DK Shivakumar.
Significantly, recently, former Karnataka Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah had claimed that several BJP MLAs met him and expressed resentment
about the functioning of the Yedurappa government of the state. Although this claim was rejected by the BJP, but if the news that is coming now, be considered true,
then many rebels who left the Congress are now in the mood to return home.
On the other hand, due to lack of coordination between former chief minister and JDS leader Kumar Swamy and Siddaramaiah, there was rebellion between Congress and JDS but now after
getting the responsibility of state Congress to DK Shivakumar, once again close relationship between Congress and JDS Have increased.
Significantly, 14 Congress MLAs and 3 JDS MLAs resigned from the party immediately after the Lok Sabha elections last year, due to which the government of
the Congress-JDS alliance led by Kumaraswamy fell. These MLAs resigned and joined the BJP and contested the BJP ticket in the by-election. Many legislators
who won the by-elections were given ministers in the government.
